Hello all!
I came across this devotion passage from the Upper Room and I thought it'd be good to share it with all of you :)
The Ministry of Prayer[Anna] served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

SOON after my husband retired, he was in a
near-fatal accident that left him needing lots of care. My active involvement in the church was curtailed while I stayed home to be his caregiver. Sometimes I was discouraged because I was not able to work in the public ministries of the
church. However, my whole outlook changed when I read the story of Anna, the aged widow who "served God with fastings and prayers night and day."
She served God with prayers? I had not thought of praying as a way to serve the Lord. Now I rejoice that I can work for God at home, any time of the day or night.People like me who are confined because of health problems or because they are caring for loved ones can take heart. God has given us an opportunity to serve through the ministry of prayer. Prayer not only honors God but also blesses the people praying and those for whom they pray.
